There was a huge anti-Bush protest at UNCG this morning. Apparently the protestors (and there were hundreds of them) marched through several of the Universities buildings encouraging students to leave class and join the march. I love this town.

On another note, this is why I'm happy to own a Gamecube:

You should get a DS at some point. Then there could be online fun between us.

I've wanted a DS since I learned that they were releasing a slightly modified Super Mario 64 for it. I've heard a rumor that it may be my christmas gift :)

Re: ...

Mario 64 DS was a launch title and a pretty good show of the system's 3D capabilities. It's just enough different to really warrant replaying too. The only downsize is that the touch screen is a poor replacement to the analog stick so I've wound up mastering it with the dpad.

I've also learned of a Mario Kart for the DS which sounds pretty interesting. Is the battery life decent? I know this was an issue for the DS during its development. I know of a few RPGs I'm interested in (including Animal Crossing: Wild World, Crystal Chronicles, and Xenosaga) and a decent battery life would be RPG friendly.

Re: ...

6-10 Hours of battery life. More than enough for a typical day's use between charges. And yes Mario Kart also is interesting as it's the first online game using the built in wifi.
